On 18th May 2020, Amazon Handmade launched their Rainbows of Hope storefront in collaboration with NHS Charities Together. The storefront featured 20 rainbow-themed products created by 5 Makers across the UK. Products included tea towels, mugs, tote bags, gift cards and cushion covers. For each product sold, Amazon Handmade pledged to donate 12 per cent of sales commissions to NHS Charities Together.
Over 125 pieces of coverage were generated across the national, regional and online media. To amplify the Rainbows of Hope messaging even further, we reached out to key influencers with an affinity to the Amazon Handmade brand. Stacey Solomon – celebrity influencer and singer – has 1.5m followers on Twitter. She posted a tweet about the Amazon Handmade Rainbows of Hope storefront including a link to the store. Four other influencers featured the Rainbows of Hope storefront on their instagram stories, including @dadvgirls (301.5k followers) and @eimearvarianbarry (96.2k followers). In total, the campaign generated 5 unpaid social posts.
We helped raise awareness of Vodafone’s enhanced ‘VOXI For Now’ plan achieving a total of 256 articles across national, national online, regional, tech online and money saving titles.
Vodafone’s enhanced ‘VOXI For Now’ plan helped those experiencing financial hardship to stay connected. The plan gave unlimited 5G mobile data, minutes and texts for just £10 a month, for up to six months, to anyone claiming Jobseeker’s Allowance, Disability Allowance, Personal Independent Payment, Employment and Support Allowance, or employment-based Universal Credit. The plan would usually cost £35 per month (70% discount) and was the only mobile social tariff on the market.
We promoted Vodafone’s promise to help charities preparing to welcome refugees arriving from Ukraine.
Vodafone offered free connectivity to 200,000 refugees arriving in the UK from Ukraine through its charities.connected initiative. Registered charities could apply for the free connectivity, in the form of SIM cards with 20GB data, plus free (international) calls and texts every month for six months. Vodafone also launched a Tech Appeal with a donation of 3,000 smartphones and 1,000 portable power banks, the UK public and businesses were encouraged to donate tech to help refugees stay in touch with family and friends. Furthermore, Vodafone matched donations to the DEC Ukraine Humanitarian Appeal through the British Red Cross, with a minimum contribution of £250,000. For customers with family and friends in Ukraine, calls and texts were free of charge and for customers within Ukraine roaming charges were waived.
Over 30 pieces of coverage were achieved to drive awareness of Vodafone’s support for Ukrainian refugees across the national, online and regional press.
We helped promote Vodafone’s support of the UK’s first ever ‘Celebration Day’ on 26th June 2022, achieving 11 pieces of coverage across national, online and tech media.
Vodafone encouraged customers to connect with friends, family and loved ones on Sunday 26th June, with 24 hours of free unlimited data, in support of the UK’s first ever ‘Celebration Day’. ‘Celebration Day’ was a day to pause, reflect, remember and celebrate the loved ones who are no longer with us – whether they’re family, friends or someone who has had a positive impact on our lives. In support of the special day, Vodafone automatically gifted free unlimited UK data to all customers currently on a consumer Pay as you Go, Pay Monthly or VOXI plan.
Celebrities such as Stephen Fry, Richard E Grant, Prue Leith, Lennie James, Anya Hindmarch, Helena Bonham Carter, Jamie Oliver, Gemma Arterton, Harriet Walter and River Medway also leant their support to the day, with some posting their own stories of how they remember and celebrate their loved ones.
