Cargo - ‘Tea Towel Amnesty’ and ‘Christmas Fairies’

‘Tea Towel Amnesty’ - a 1950’s themed photocall with a mock protest to encourage people to get rid of their old tea towels (the majority of the estimated 500 million tea towels in Britain are reckoned to be more than five years old). Anyone who took part received a free tea towel from Cargo.

‘Cargo Christmas Fairies’ – a fancy dress competition judged by the local Mayor which encouraged customers to visit the store in fairy outfits. The five 'best-dressed-fairies' were awarded Cargo vouchers.

A stunt to launch the new core make-up range. Two fashion students designed a dress made entirely of make-up and recycled materials which was then modelled by the account handler outside the Oxford Street store.

UK & Ireland Marketing Communications Manager
The Ideas Network are a tremendously creative and fun team to work with. They have inspired us time and again by promoting the work we do through clever and imaginative methods - achieving excellent media coverage for our studio. They are always available to listen and are extremely prompt to provide us with strong advice! It is this attention to detail, conviction and personal service that continually delivers results.
Joint Managing Director
I want to thank all the team at The Ideas Network for all the work they have put in. I know there have been some long hours but the commitment has been 110% and it has been much appreciated.
International PR Manager
As this was our first experience of working with a PR agency, we were quite nervous, but The Ideas Network have done a fantastic job of representing our business.
Founder and MD
As a company we always felt PR was something that we should be doing, rather than something that we could invest in to yield real benefit. The Ideas Network changed that for us and have worked with us across the whole business; they have helped us with pre-production advice on things like colour trends, have introduced us to some really influential people in the press and have guided us through the minefield that is Social Media. They are always both thought provoking and fun. The upturn in our business is in no small part due to their efforts.
Sales Director
At the beginning of 2007 we had virtually no PR coverage at all, then we employed The Ideas Network. Overcoming considerable logistical problems, they helped us to set up a new samples system and within only a few weeks, the coverage started rolling in. The Ideas Network’s energy and professionalism is extraordinary and I would have no hesitation in recommending them as a PR agency to anyone.
Marketing and Events Manager
The Bushmills Christmas Hamper Campaign met all our objectives fantastically well. We were genuinely delighted with both the quality and the quantity of the results.
Brand Manager
If you are looking for sharp focus, high energy and tangible results, The Ideas Network is as good a team as I have come across in 20 years of working with PR companies. And you can have fun with them as well!
